MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. –The Orange County Community College (SUNY Orange) Board of Trustees approved its slate of oficers for the 2018-19 academic year during its annual retreat meeting on Wednesday, May 23 at the West Hills Country Club.

Trustee Fred Watson was selected to serve as Board chair for the coming year, assuming the leadership mantle from Helen Ullrich, who has been the chair for the past four years. Sister Margaret Murphy will hold the vice chair role with Tom Hunter moving into the secretary slot.

Ullrich will remain on the Board and will be joined by newly appointed Trustees Ralph Martucci, Tom Weddell and Flo Hannes.

Three board positions remain open heading into the Board’s summer break. One appointment each is expected from Governor Andrew Cuomo and Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus, while the third seat will be filled by the Student Trustee, who will be selected by a vote of the student body at the beginning of the Fall semester.
